Mentorship
The Summer Institute offers countless opportunities for mentorship. Our residents and staff are available each program day to help develop your business strategy, improve your product design, and capture your vision through media and communications. Our larger community of mentors regularly lend a hand and offer their expert advice as you build your dream.

Design Thinking Education
We believe that bright futures start with strong foundations. We like to build foundations by teaching more than just the business basics and offering an entire curriculum in design thinking. Our curriculum is meant to engage you in creative thinking processes which can spark innovation and will help you shape a strong, sustainable venture.

Paid to Participate
We know that starting a business is hard and we want the Summer Institute to be accessible to everyone; not just those with savings or financial support. For this reason, we pay our entrepreneurs a fulltime, minimum wage stipend to cover living expenses and make life a little easier as you start up.

Skills Workshops
You'll always face new challenges as you craft your business. To better equip you, we offer a variety of workshops that develop your entrepreneurial skillset. These workshops will prepare you to tackle the problems you face today and the one's you'll encounter much later down the road.

University Resources
The Summer Institute takes place at the University of New Brunswick and our entrepreneurs have access to all of the resources available to regular students. We can make arrangements for you to access laboratories, research services, and special equipment for prototyping. 

Field Trips
We value our surroundings and like to draw inspiration from others. During the program, we take time to visit local businesses with fascinating stories and chat with some of the best and brightest minds in our region.

GAN Membership
Our membership with the Global Accelerator Network has a lot of benefits. Through the GAN, our entrepreneurs can participate in exclusive international startup events, pitch their businesses in different startup communities, and redeem over $375,000 worth of member perks. 

Dedicated Work Space
We offer free office space (desks, Wi-Fi, printer) in our Summer Institute Room and can book rooms on campus for private meetings or presentations.

Community of Peers
Our staff, residents, and mentors encourage collaboration amongst our cohort. We do our best to foster a caring environment of peer-to-peer support; something we know will be important as you continually grow your new venture.

Funding for Prototypes
We understand that capital is necessary to build prototypes; so we have that covered. Each business will receive up to $2,000 for prototype development.

Equity Free Support
There is no fee to participate in the Summer Institute and no equity taken from participating businesses. What we want is simple: to support good people who are looking to make a big impact.
